Michael J. Tortora

Attorney Mike Tortora joined Nuzzo & Roberts in the fall of 2025. He handles general liability cases, with a focus on motor vehicle accidents, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims and premises liability.

Early in his career, Attorney Tortora obtained trial experience while handling defense cases. During this time, he also served as a Special Public Defender for the state of Connecticut in the Norwalk and Bridgeport Superior Courts. Subsequently, Attorney Tortora served as a senior Trial Attorney and defended clients of large Fortune 500 companies, as well as clients of large nationally known insurance companies.

Attorney Tortora has extensive trial experience representing injured individuals and brings to his clients the knowledge of knowing what his opponent’s strategy will be from his years of defense work. Attorney Tortora also brings his knowledge of representing injured plaintiffs to his clients he represents as defendants. He has also successfully argued before the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Attorney Tortora is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. This distinguished honor is only given to attorneys who have proven through their trial experience and accomplishments that they are worthy of the title.
